Dw1608 Drill Bit, 5/16 X 12 In., Black Oxide Split Point

The DeWalt DW1608 is a 5/16-inch by 12-inch drill bit designed to reach deep into workpieces in a single pass, reducing the need for repositioning. The black oxide coating provides greater wear resistance, and the split-point design drills on contact to prevent walking. This bit works well in metal, wood, and plastic drilling applications.

The 31-degree helix angle minimizes over-aggressiveness while maintaining control for efficient drilling. The parabolic flute design improves chip ejection during drilling in both metal and wood, helping the bit perform effectively in demanding applications.

Features and Benefits

• Split-Point Design: The 135-degree split point drills on contact and prevents walking.
• Parabolic Flute: The spiral flute design improves chip ejection in metal and wood drilling applications.
• 31-Degree Helix Angle: Minimizes over-aggressiveness while maintaining control for efficient drilling.
• Black Oxide Coating: Provides greater resistance to wear compared to uncoated steel.
• Extra Length: At 12 inches, this bit reaches deep into workpieces, reducing the need for multiple passes.
