Gardner Bender HWT-1138 heat shrink tubing is heavy-wall polyolefin tubing designed to insulate, protect and seal electrical splices, wire connections and cable terminations. The adhesive lining creates a permanent waterproof bond that guards against moisture and corrosion, making it ideal for both above-ground and below-ground installations including outdoor lighting, vehicle systems, marine equipment and direct burial applications.

This tubing shrinks from a 1-1/8 inch pre-shrink diameter down to 3/8 inch post-shrink diameter, with a 6-inch length that provides enough material to wrap and seal standard electrical splices. The inner adhesive bonds reliably to plastics, rubber, neoprene, steel and polyethylene, creating a durable barrier against high-impact, abrasion and corrosion damage.
